What a great idea about posting on Craigslist!
So I am finally uploading my pictures of the quilt I finished forever ago.  I know the pics seem bright but it's pretty close to IRL colors.  MareMare can back that up.  Although she did see it in the dark...

That is why I did not use a fold over binding.  I dug the polka dots out of my stash.

Yep, it is really cute, and a little bright! And I really like the quilting she did on it!

jodilynn--what a wonderful community you have to donate fabric to you! I think a lot of people would be happy to help if they knew about it!

We have a place in our city where people can drop off fabrics, old curtains, etc. The volunteers wash and sort everything and put them on shelves...anyone can come in and take fabrics if they are making things for charity!  I need to go down and check it out...

wow--I love your quilt klum!! Very bright and cheery and I personally love red/black and white!!  Good call on the binding...wowie...that sure is a bright color!  I also love the double row quilting...very nice!

I am hoping to finish my quilt today. I quilted it yesterday, and am working on the binding today. I've noticed that my crafting time has been greatly impacted with a 3 year old and a 3 month old. Tongue I am lucky enough that they will both sleep through the sound of the sewing machine.

Oh thats how I felt when I was trying to make my quilt!! I dont have kids but I recently adopted a puppy right around the same time I got my quilt kit. He has to be constantly watched or I will find pee spots or something torn up! He LOVES to steal bras from my room or the laundry basket Wink

Finally, I get some time to post pictures of what I've been doing!

Here's the one from the kit that QFK sent me:

And here's one of the other 3 I'm sending to them with it:

I don't know if any of you remember, but I ordered 5 kits for my craft group a while back.  Well, when we got to quilting day, 2 people didn't show, each with very valid excuses.  I had meanwhile gathered fabric to make 3 other quilts, thinking I would offer anyone who wanted to do a second, one of mine.  Well, with the two extra kits, and my 3 more, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed to say the least.  Thank goodness I bumped into a fellow quilter at work who offered to take one of the kits, and another craftster took the other one.  So now I just have the 3 more.  One of which, as you see, is done!  I've got the front of the second one pieced, and the third one cut, and the 4 patches together.  Just as a random note, I went with their Disappearing 9 Patch on the second quilt there, and it's a bit bigger than the 4 Patch kits they send.  I cut 4 strips of binding to do mine, and it was short by about 5".  I think on the next Disappearing 9 Patch (the one I've already pieced), I'm going to narrow the outer border a bit, so I can get it all out of 4 strips.

Keep up the awesome work ladies!

They are both pretty, but I like the second one a lot!  wow--you have been busy...glad you were able to deal with your group issues!

I am behind on my second one as well, pixieval...I love the print and I even have all of my own stash pieces cut out for six more, but gardening has taken up too much time...

I wonder if they put a black mark next to your name if you are late or a slacker Sad...My goal is to at least get it all pieced this weekend!

I must keep in mind that there is a need, especially since we have the huge children's hospital in Philly and Hershey!
