I really love the pink and brown quilt maremare!  So glad your SIL is enjoying quilting with your support and encouragement!

I hope to have some time this weekend to piece together my second group!

Anyone else making any progress or receiving new quilts?

I posted these last week on the 50 projects craft along but forgot to put them here

The one from the kit

One from stash fabric

The backings got lumpy, which really irritated me, but washing them helped camoflauge it some.
Next time I"m going to get some spray batting stuff I think

I like the one from your stash the best! I like the mix of patterns and colors--so great for a kid! Did you use low loft batting? Maybe the fluffiness is from thick batting?

To be honest, I think that is what the back of a quilt is suppose to look like... Cheesy

Great job cursive_queen!!  You will make two kids happy!!!

It is low loft batting, I checked the package twice and I made sure I was only using 1 thickness (it was folded in half in the package).  It seems quite fluffy to me too, but it held up to being washed just fine, and I didn't baby them, they got washed with a load of towels Tongue

I like both of your quilts cursive_queen, I like the top one best, just because I'm more excited about boy quilts right now because everyone I know is having baby boys!
I am excited, I got an email yesterday that my quilt kit shipped!

Finally got around to posting my quilt! I finished it a few weeks ago but I have been really busy and just got around to taking pictures of it. I've got to send it out either today or tomorrow!

Now this is my very first attempt at quilting so please be gentle, but be honest! Tell me what you think.

(p.s. I'm extremely jealous of the kid who gets this because I LOVE the fishy fabric)
