I think it looks pretty good! Your seams are lined up! You might need a little more work with the iron, are you ironing your seams open or to one side? I usually prefer to iron them to one side but for some projects open works better.

I am ironing to the side.  will it possibly look better and less bumpy after it is quilted?

looks nice ids13!  As long as it's quilted plenty and doesn't have any edges that can snag, I think you're golden.

for QFK quilts, I prefer to do the 'pillow case' method where you sew the 3 layers inside out, leaving an opening, then flip right side out, then do your quilting, then you don't have to mess with binding at all.

The pillow case does sound a bit less of a pain, I can't seem to get the corners of the binding down so that problem would be eliminated with that method.  Grin

I had almost forgotten to post these!  They were completed ages ago, but I've only just been able to pack them up and send them off.  They were each made with scrap fabrics from my costume shop.  Some of my students even helped out with them when they had the time.  Each one is sized for the NICUnit, based on the pattern on the QfK website.

Those are really pretty, I like the color choices and that they don't scream 'baby".  Your quilting looks really nice, I want to learn to stipple quilt at some point

Oh, and I almost forgot!  If you look at the top one, you can see that one of my students got creative with the quilting.  He quilted in the word "Hope" on the top and bottom borders, and he quilted stars into the side borders!!!  I love my kids.  (And by kids I mean 22 year old man, who would make a quilt to help a sick baby.)

Hey all! I just got the latest Quilts for Kids newsletter and they are low on quilts after sending to Hurricane victims. I have another charity project I am doing in dec/jan, but I am making a personal goal to make two quilts for Quilts for Kids by March! Anyone want to join in and make a goal?
