Quilts for Kids Quilt-along (Charity for Kids)

I go my first kit today!  I'm very excited!
And the fabric is beyond adorable, Cat in the Hat!

I just read on their website that they need quilt for teens!

I just purchased some great guitar fabric and drum fabric for the boys and then some cute cats and birds for the girls...

Anyone else up for making teen quilts?

I am going to do all four in different patterns to expand my patterns completed goals for this year!

Pinkleo--I wish I got cat in the hat!  I do like that what they send you is always a surprise!

I need to post my shark quilt--it is bright and fun for a little boy or even a girl!

Finished one of the kits I was sent.  Turtles and Friends. I really hated the border fabric--they were not cut straight so the squares appear to be crooked...I am sure a child will not notice, but it bothered me!

ha ha I am about sick of that 9 patch pattern...

and, wouldn't you know it...I got another kit today in the mail--and the entire back fabric is that fabric I hate!

Hey all! I just saw this in an email and thought it would be a cute pattner for Q4K:

It's basically alternating some checkerboard patchwork (which could be made easily strip piecing or even by doing a few 9 patches or 4 patches) and some strips of patterned fabric across the width of the fabric. I like it!
