Quilts for Kids Quilt-along (Charity for Kids)

I'm horrible! I've had this kit forever and am just now getting up the courage and time to make it. After 2 days I have the top finished! Now I just need to pick up batting (and learn to quilt... and learn how to bind it...).

My first quilt (top).

Hoping to pick up batting tomorrow. Joann's has batting 40% off right now. Also, sorry the pic is so dark. It's been snowing off and on all day, so the sun has been hiding.

Looks great HippieKender!  I did one with those robot fabrics last year. 

I just got two new kits in the mail.  I'm going to do one, and have Ex_Gratia do the other during our Crafternoons this month.  Another friend has asked me to teach her to quilt, and I am hoping she'll do one of these with us to learn on.

Thanks Jennie From far away you can't tell that my corners don't always match up! I'll have to work on getting those perfect 1/4" seams.

I love those colors!  Believe me, once you get it together and give it a good wash, all the little imperfections seem to disappear!

I have two almost done and hope that they will send me more even though I am late sending back!

It looks great HippieKender! I just finished one except for the binding. It's also hung out around my house way too long I also have one NICU quilt I need to quilt and would like to send at least one more NICU quilt back along with this box. I'm off to Joann's to pick up some more batting today, but I'm guessing they don't open until 9.

Ex_Gratia and I are working on another set of these now.  I hope to have it bound tomorrow morning!

Ex_Gratia & I both completed our Quilts for Kids kits.  (And started 3 more!)

We've got 3 NICU quilts pieced, and one of them is in the process of being quilted.  I hope to get one of the three completely quilted today!
