A friend of mine lost one of his red Canadian Olympic mittens and now is stuck with a single mitt which he doesn't want to throw out. He's asked for my advice. I can't think of anything. I've already suggested oven mitt, but he said no. Do any of you have any idea what one could do with a single mitten? or what could be made with it? It looks like one of these (I can't post pictures yet):

One loose mitten is clutter, but a shadowbox on the wall with the mitten and other paraphernalia from the games is a memory.

Lefty Or Righty? - I Found One Tacked On The Bulletin Board At The Corner Store The Other Day  Wink

How About A Cobweb Catcher? (I've Made This Using A Garden Glove)
Put Stuffing In It. Stick A Dowel Up Into It
Tie A Ribbon Around The Wrist Tight To Hold It On The Dowel
Secure With Hot Glue
If You Want To Get Fancy, You Can Use A Screw Eye On The End Of The Dowel
So You Can Hang It On A Nail Or Key Hook
Anyway, I Find It Handy To Reach The Upper Corners Of Our Ceiling & Light
Fixtures Where Cobwebs Like To Gather!
Also, I Love To Garden & Find It Handy To Clear The Spider Webs That Appear
Overnight On The Patio Furniture   Smiley

Darn it!  If your friend was a female I would suggest making a change purse out of it.

Can you sew in or add some magnets to it at the back? Then you could have a fridge magnet, that would hold some pens, pencils or something! Or sew it to a V shaped standing piece of card and have it free standing holding bits and pieces! Cheesy

sew it to the front of an jumper/sweater or to the end of a woolen scarf to used as a pocket for your mobile phone or keys or wallet.

or if he doesn't want to make a sock monster (which i think would be cool) you could repurpose the mitten as a small sweater for stuffed animal.
