[ACCEPTED] Take swaps out of "hot new projects"

Personally I like it. If it wasn't for the WoW swap icon on the Hot New Projects a few months ago I never would have known about it to join! I would have been disappointed if I had missed out on that one.

This is a community after all and I think it should be about getting everyone involved and connected. Even if you don't join swaps.

 I mean, swaps are projects too and the sign-ups are just the beginning! You are creating something for someone just like any other of the projects on this site right? So you see a Hot swap under the Hot new projects? Well now you know about it you might be interested in joining or even commenting on the thread about someones work later on?

The worst thing is that I see so many hidden treasures in swaps, so many talented people who don't post their own thread about their work and only people involved in the swap will generally see the goodies! Everyone else is missing out!

Maybe there should be a filter for people who do not like swaps in hot new projects?

I don't think people mind seeing them on the main page at all.  It's just that they aren't as they are currently labeled -- "Hot New Projects," so it's a bit misleading.  They are not project threads.  They are discussion threads.  We still want to give them lots of love, but also make the main page as user-friendly as possible.

We're still working on a solution/compromise to keep them in the eye stream of the community, but perhaps separate from the Hot New Projects stream itself.  Thanks for the continued feedback, guys!

You're not one bit!  Swaps are so important to our community.  We definitely don't want to hide them from easy access.

I like that idea, or even a short highlighted list of links to the current top 3 swaps with sign ups, or swap sign ups ending in less than a day or something like that.

Would it be possible to start a "Newest Swaps" category on the front page. I'm not interested in swaps and it's starting to irritate me how often I click on a futured or a new project just to find that it is a swap. This future would also be useful to those who are interested in swaps.
