I don't turn 50 until next May, but how about a swap for us luscious 50-year-olds or almost 50? Fifty is nifty! Fifty isn't fatal. Fifty is the new forty!

If you don't turn fifty until next May, you are still a young 49 year old, Smmarrt.

I think I'm the oldest craftster around, I'm 62, but can I still be in your swap?

Without revealing my age, I got you beat.
Smmarrt, what type of swap are you considering for us youngsters?

Something fun and/or silly. I didn't do much when my sister turned 50 because whatever I do to her, comes back to me in a torrent of torment! So I'm sure she already has the nastygrams (in a sweet, sisterly sort of way) planned for me.

And yes, we can totally make this a 50+ swap.

When JFK Jr. died and then Princess Diana, (10 years ago?), I promised myself that I wouldn't hide my age - they were both about the same age as me then. So now when I mention that I am 49, the parents of my preschoolers seem to gasp - which is good - and I always reply that working with young children keeps me young. I don't feel 49 - and I usually don't act it.

And my brother, who was 11 months older than me, died very suddenly last summer, I am all about celebrating everyday and after all, 50 is just a number. I still do almost everything I want to.

So let's plan something for January or February....and I like no-point swaps so we can decide the details later.

I will be getting knee replacement surgery in Nov. or December. So I think Feb signups could work for me.

Will you change your Craftster name to "The Bionic Woman"?

With my arthritis, I fell like I should replace all the bones in my body and then I should feel like a Bionic Woman, able to do leap tall buildings, etc.
