Soapers and soaprettes, I am proud to present... SWIRLS!

This was done using the swirl-in-the-pot method, with the proper combination of oxide, cursing, and making vain promises to the soaping gods.  It smells like woodsmoke, vanilla, cherry, pine and cinnamon.  I keep thinking of it as "the goth soap."

Prelude to the goth soap:

I think the FO I was using accelerated trace a smidge.  But it came out looking like a stormy sky, which I kind of love (& fittingly, was done with WSP's Stormy Night dupe, which smells like rain-drenched heather & hyacinth--a light, clean floral).

Aaaaand maybe not exactly a swirl:

Scented with an ocean FO and, after a friend complained that it wasn't oceanic enough, a healthy dose of kelp.  So now I've got the verisimilitude down... only trick is finding someone who wants to bathe in seaweed. ;P (BF says it smells like a sushi restaurant.  Some people really love the ocean, right?)

DONE RAMBLING NOW OKAY.

Yay, thanks everyone!  I am pretty excited.

MareMare: the woodsmoke/vanilla/raspberry is an FO, to which I added pine & cinnamon EOs (glad I did, too--the FO's faded a bit).  It made the apartment smell very homey, though I worried that the neighbors would call the fire department.

I love the swirls, great job and I wish I could smell it.  All of them look great, you are a pro and be sure to keep those soap fairies locked up. Wink

Let us know how the one with cinnamon goes as cinnamon is known to be a skin irritant.  I LOVE cinnamon but don't use it b/c I'm to afraid it will bother my skin. Sad

I like the first one the best because of the scent combos you used..it sounds to me like it would smell like camping Smiley

Thanks, y'all!

Lique, I think the cinnamon EO should be all right--I used about 5 drops ppo!  Just enough for a spicy hint.  It is scary stuff, though... I'm always a little wary of cinnamon and clove for just that reason.
