I was sewing last weekend in a bar while listening to my friend's band, but I don't think anyone got pictures of it.

i've tried crocheting at the lunch table at work... it was not well-received! haha

I just kept doing it anyway!  Now, when I new person comes by and asks what I'm knitting, it seems like at least three co-workers will pipe up with "It's not knitting, it's CROCHET!"  I've trained them well. ^_-

It's all about training and education fantasticmio!!  I embroider everywhere. I always have a WIP packed up and ready to grab and go. What amazes me is I STILL get the why do you make things when you can buy them questions. Really people!? Are you serious!?  Roll Eyes

I tell them that I have a very strict policy about only buying things that exist.  I have yet to find a store that sells Settler of Catan blankets or Tetris pillows, or pretty socks that actually fit my Amazon feet properly!

I was actually hoping to get a question about the crocheting at lunch today.  "What are you making?"  "Nothing really."  "Then what are you doing?"  "Having fun!"  (I was experimenting, and trying to think outside the box ^_^)  But alas...

I love CIP.  It doesn't phase my friends any more, but when I first started doing it I ended up going to Disneyland that day and I had a few people in line asking me what I was doing and why I wasn't just enjoying being at Disneyland.  I let them know I was knitting a pair of hand warmers and then let them know I had an annual pass, I didn't necessarily want to stand in line doing nothing for the next two hours.  I'll have to get a photo next time--Maybe knitting on Space Mountain?

OMG! That would be awesome! But would it be dangerous?  All the whipping around and pointy sticks? I don't want you to put an eye out!  Shocked

I always try crocheting at work but people take the mickey out of me and I get really embarrassed, I feel like I have no credibility in an environment where I'm still trying to find my place. Sad
