Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I hope it's okay for my first post to be this one..

So, my entry is a little chimp, made from polymer clay, painted with genesis paints and flocked with mohair (which took longer to complete than the sculpting).  His little toy banana is removable, though he gets cranky if it's kept away too long.  Wink

He does have a proper little body, and one arm is tucked under the other, but it's hard to tell - the camera can't seem to see past the shiny blackness of his hair (though it readily picks up the stray strands of polyfill that are still stuck to him that I didn't notice until I'd taken photos, oops! Embarrassed)

He's approximately one & a quarter inch tall.

I hope I did all this right. If not, feel free to throw (preferably soft or shiny) things at me.

When I saw this thumbnail pic, I thought how realistic it looked but I never dreamed he was a mini! Shocked
He is very cool. I bet doing that mohair detail caused some serious sore eyes. He does need a name though.....

Aw, thank you for all your wonderful feedback. Cheesy I was nervous about posting, now I'm so happy I did!

Thanks so much! Hmm, he does need a name, If we were going on words uttered the most while making him, it would probably be a four-letter name. Wink

Aww, I'm thrilled you like him. Smiley I just cut the mohair up into teeny-tiny pieces and then 'painted' small areas with fabri-tac and then quickly pressed on the hair. Have to be careful to get the glue:hair ratio right, or you end up with stringy white glue showing through the hair.

Wow!  Shocked This is amazing! I'm hoping to start working in mini and I can only hope that someday I'll be able to make something so detailed.
