I saw these at JCPenny but they are like 30 bucks, which I dont have because prom makes people poor Sad



heres a close-up of the crochet:



I've never done crochet before and was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a pattern that turns out with this netted look, because I have some plain brown sandals I want to turn into these. Also, what kind of yarn (i guess) should I use? It actually looks more like embroidery floss to me Undecided

Actually, that looks knitted to me.  I'd say the pattern looks likethis one
