so I guess this would be the right place to ask..  I'm thinking about making my first altered book and rather than just jumping in I wanted to have a theme to go by.  I've decided on "words of encouragement"  but I don't want cheese lines.  I'd rather have silly or just not cliche ones.  So far I have one my best friend told me last week-  "You are better than a booty call"    sigh...
So if any one has funny/ ironic/ maybe not even useful words of encouragement I'd love to hear them!

Somebody on craftster did a project for her boyfriend that involved chronicling all the silly texts he sent her and one of them was something like, "If you ever get mauled by a bear I hope it avoids your face because I think you're cute."

An actual compliment I once received: "You smell like a Febreze commercial!" I had not used any Febreze.

I am convinced that the only people worthy of consideration in this world are the unusual ones. For the common folks are like the leaves of a tree, and live and die unnoticed. L. Frank Baum

i guess it depends on who you want to encourage, and how. if you don't have a book chosen yet, i recommend finding an motivational or inspirational book and masking off words or phrases to create "found poetry" style comments that are unexpected and offbeat, covering the rest of the text completely or partially. example here: http://www.jenminnis.com/albums/techbook/AB_Tech_8.jpg
