Swap name: "Feels Like Summer To Me" Music Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: justlease
Sign-up date range: May 2 - May 12th
Date to send item by: May 31st

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional):  no!

Non-U.S. participants allowed? Yes

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages -- however, some music swapped may or may not be "safe for all ages".

Organizer is aware of current list of "suspended traders" list and will not allow those members to participate: YES

Organizer has been a member for at least 1 month and will make sure that every participant has been a member for at least 1 month: YES

Details of swap:

In this swap we'll trade ONE mixed CD of our favorite music that evokes a Summertime feel when we listen to it.  What would you want to hear when you're bbq-ing with friends, or laying on your beach blanket, or driving in your car with all the windows rolled down and a breeze blowing through your hair?

I'm thinking that this should be a 'personal' mix, vs. trying to engineer a mix that would appeal specifically to your partner's tastes.  I'm feeling it would be neat to exchange personal visions that way and also, of course, a way to expand one's musical horizons, too!

Before signing up, please visit http://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html to make sure you qualify to swap.  Let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

Also, although this should go without saying, you must be willing to notify (via PM) your swap partner when you recieve their CD.  It's just good manners.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Your age:
Mailing address
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside of the US?
Are you ok with songs that contain mature lyrics?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

This sounds real nice... ( I have some excellent music I consider summer music)... but unfortunately I'm also a little picky about what I listen to.... could we have a question on there about what genres you like?  (Not so someone can tailor to your tastes, but so people with similar tastes can be matched up?)

Psyche, I wanted to avoid the whole genre thing, that way what you wind up with is a real surprise.  If you're not into that, that's fine... maybe you could start a more 'genre' oriented swap?  I'd join that too, if you set it up. Smiley

*Sigh* I wish I could join this swap, but under the new rules as a newbie I can only sign up for 1 swap my first time out the gate and I just signed up for one last week. Too bad cause I have 2 perfect playlists on my iPod ("SunDays" & "Oh Those Summer Nights!") that would make great summer mixes. Oh well. Maybe next time around. Have fun and I will definitely check out the gallery to see what everyone comes up with!
