So, I'm kinda in love with the Little Red Riding Hood story and I wanted to make something "Little Red" for my daughter's room so I thought I'd try my hand at embroidering something freehand. It's completely my design and I made it up as I went along. My stitching is messy and imperfect but I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I enjoyed making this so much that I am going to learn some new stitches so I can make something else and hopefully improve my skills.

I think it's beautiful!  I love the wolf hiding in the background.  You did a great job on this!  What did you use to color it in??

Did you use the crayon tinting technique?  I love your stitching!  It is so great when you get to make up your own patterns, makes it more of a piece of art and it's great.  congrats!

Aww, thanks. I'm glad you like it. I used the crayon tinting technique which I think is pretty effective and it saves all the filling-in stitching which I don't know how to do anyway! lol

What a nice design.  Red looks so sweet, I really like the different colors of floss used for her hair.  The flowers are a really cute touch, too.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm happy other people like it. My daughter likes it too but she's 1 1/2 so she likes everything I make her! lol
