A while back, my boyfriend drooled over a youtube video of a coffee table that was made as an exact replica of an orignal NES controller! http://broccolicity.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/nin-table1.jpg

What he doesn't know, is I've been sneaking off to make him a similar one for his birthday... He knows I'm up to something, because he found his electric sander in my car!

with the help of my very crafty dad, I've finally finished!

I also painted two question block canvases for our wall...

these are what I'm going to give him first and say "Here's what took me forever to make you!" and when he asks why I needed to borrow his electric sander, I'll have him help me bring in the finished table from my car!

Enjoy!

This is truly awesome! It looks fantastic, and the question mark canvases are great too.
I don't suppose we could have a measurements list?  I would love to make one, but my woodworking experience ended in high school, so I have no idea where to begin. Smiley

The process was actually a pain in the butt! We just eyeballed it, and freehanded most of it - There's actually one more grey line. I measured very little of it and all the letters are scrapbooking stickers I had laying around (which is why the size is off). The coffee table itself was a piece of junk that my dad found near a dumpster years ago, we just modified it a little bit, and sanded it down.

Oh my goodness! I love this so much. I was just playing some Dr. Mario earlier. lol. Cheesy (This rocks)
I think this could easily translate onto an ikea coffee table, the proportions look about right.
