Purses and clutches (lotta pics!)

Hello you crafting rockstars!
Here are a few purses I've designed and constructed recently (oldest to newest).
Thanks so very much to craftsters e.r.i.k.a. for her "Lined zippered pouch tutorial" (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.msg187145#msg187145) and SewPixie for her zipper pocket tutorial (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=11808.0).
Except for the hardware, I hand-made all components of the purses--pleats, appliques, piping, etc. Comments, questions, and critiques welcome!

"Safari"
-Antique brass metal detail, including snap closure and strap chain
-Red on red floral interior
-2 interior zebra print square pockets
-Lightly reinforced


"Hardcore"
-Silver metal detail, including snap closure and strap chain
-Shiny black faux snakeskin exterior
-Dainty white on black floral interior
-2 interior floral pockets with black faux snakeskin trim
-Lightly reinforced


"Club Rodeo"
-Antique brass snap closure
-Brown faux snakeskin upper, natural linen lower, yellow piping detail, exterior
-Blue and white pinstripe interior
-Lightly reinforced



"Saddle"
-Messenger style
-Antique brass metal detail, including strap chain, d-rings, and grommets
-Brown faux snakeskin, brown and cream suede exterior with yellow strap contrast, exterior
-Natural linen interior
-2 interior brown faux snakeskin round open pockets (different sizes)
-Lightly reinforced


"Fenghuang"
-Messenger style
-Silver metal detail, including dragon key-chain, strap chain, and d-rings
-Black matte faux snakeskin, multi-color dragon applique exterior
-Purple interior with mulit-color dragon contrast
-1 interior zip pocket
-Lightly reinforced


"Me Jane"
-Messenger style
-Antique brass metal detail, including strap chain, o-rings, and side grommet detail (not pictured)
-Grey faux suede exterior
-Zebra stripe interior
-Large grey and purple floral interior divider zipper pocket
-Lightly reinforced

Thank you Belruel and nadscraft! "Saddle" was definitely an experimental piece (well, all of these were really...frankly, it's experimental every time I sew!)--it's only the 6th bag I've ever made, and my first messenger bag. Plus, figuring out how to sew the pleated part onto the solid brown section was quite an adventure!

I love them all, but the dragon applique is so awesome. Thank you for putting these all in one post too.

Thanks lovesclutter! This one had me in a frenzy for a while, because I bought a certain amount of the dragon fabric just planning on using it for the lining...then I cut into it, quite gung-ho...*then* I realized the curves around the bottom of the dragon would be a perfect edge on a messenger bag flap, and the whole thing nearly met its demise right then and there. Fortunately, the fabric was saved *and* I taught myself how to applique (which I totally recommend, it's fun!).

Thank you Cutie! Building these purses was an experiment in both design and pattern-making--I've never used a pattern before, but wanted to be able to easily make the same shapes more than once.
