I was brainstorming what I should use for a cake topper, when seeing this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=336609.0 earlier tonight flitted through my head. And I thought how awesome would it be to have Mal and Inara as my cake-topper??? But what medium should they be? How would I go about making this happen at all? I'm thinking Mal in his usual browncoat and Inara looking mostly like a reg. bride. (Unless there a better specific dress I should use)

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated Cheesy The cake hasn't been chosen yet, so I can base the cake off of my amazing cake toppers Cheesy

I'm going with polymer clay for my cake topper and since I have no skill with clay personally, I'm having them made by someone on Etsy. She's done Firefly characters before as well. If you're interested, I can PM you her shop info.

As for their outfits, Shindig would be a good choice. Mal is all fine in his 'Captain Tightpants' get-up and Inara is wearing the costume designer's actual wedding dress in that scene as her ballgown so I think that would look shiny on top of your cake Smiley
