This fall my school did a project runway challenge open to all students. The best part was that Sweet P
from Project Runway Season 4 came to talk and give everyone feedback!! (last year Kit Pistol from the same season came-- who knew a school in iowa could bring in such cool people?!)
We got to form a group ahead of time and then the night before the challenge day we were sent an email saying we had to make something based on a state--blahhh! well I decided to just stick with what I know, making something cutesy.. so I sketched out these little bloomers and top with puff sleeves and decided it looked a little like dorothy, so we picked Kansas! haha.
We had no idea what kind of fabric we would be able to get because we had to pick from this huge pile of scrap fabric they provided that morning. Then we were given a spending limit and could get some extra materials, like the notions, ect. Anyway as I was fighting the crowd and rifling through the piles I found TONS of this crazy pink floral fabric and decided to use it.
Here are the photos (with our super hott model!)
Here she is at the runway show! we made her this cute tulle hair bow
Back view, the shirt ties in the back
Here I am getting her all tied up and ready before the show! haha

well we didn't end up winning, but she told us it was super cute and the model looked great and our fit and construction immaculate! hooray!
