This afghan was made with squares I exchanged with friends all around the globe. I'm putting it away for next year but I thought I'd let you see it before it goes nighty-night.

It looks so lovely! And that's such a nice idea swapping all the square with other people. What a great memory it will be. Too bad you had to keep it packed away for much of the year.

so cute, i love quilts like this, where each square makes you smile because it is from a friend.

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

I've been swapping squares for a long time!  It took me a probably 2 years to get all the squares that were just the right color. Then I did a granny type edging around them to get them all the right size. I put it together in November and it on my sofa since then. This wasn't my first Christmas afghan, I have another, I have to take a photo and will upload that one too.

Swaps are fun!
