I made these for a coworker to match a quilt (I had lots of leftover fabric).  I found these peepee teepees on one of my favorite websites, uncommongoods.com (link to the item is below).  These are pretty simple to make really, and they were a big hit at the shower.  Great idea for baby boys.

My version of the peepee teepees:

And here is the quilt they were made to match (with my dog enjoying the softness):

I'm making another baby quilt right now and will make some matching peepee teepees with it too!

What a great idea, I've never seen them before so had to check out the link!  So is it waterproofed in some way?  You did an awesome job, the fabric choice is great for something of a conical nature such as this  Grin

I did not waterproof them; my intention was that they would simply be washed between uses.  But I don't have any kids, so any suggestions for future improvements from those with more experience are welcome. Smiley

I don't see any reason to waterproof them, but it might be nice to include a few in a matching delicates bag to keep them from wandering around in the laundry.  I have that problem with my little socks and wash clothes.

These are hilarious.  I'm wondering if they stay put or go flying across the room.  At least they'd give you warning. lol

That would be pretty amusing if they went flying.  I wouldn't imagine they would (they are not too small, maybe 4-5 inch diameter).  I picture them functioning like the washcloths most people use to avoid the showers. Smiley

I there a pattern for these?  I have friends and cousins that are expecting little boys and these would be great.

Thanks

ha ha --not having or being around children, I learn something new all the time--this is just too funny to me...great idea, though, and nice that you matched them to that lovely quilt you show!

too hilarious--I think maybe a matching waterproof bag to carry them around in the diaper bag might be nice...
