I haven't done henna in a long time (too long) and I had cones just sitting in the freezer so last night i did a simple flowery thing.
I kept the paste on overnight and the last pics were taken just now at work. Already turning a gorgeous  orange. Should be red by tonight.  Cheesy
Sorry for the cruddy phone pictures.
oh and please ignore my ugly bitten nails.

That's beautiful, but how do you keep it from flaking off your hands while you sleep?

I live in New Mexico (aka the desert) so before it dries I seal it with a lemon juice sugar mixture which makes it sticky then I cover with a paper towel and this time I covered my arm with a piece of pantyhose cut at the knee. I usually wrap it in an ace bandage but I couldn't find it (we are moving).

This is gorgeous!! I love mehndi. I really like how it goes up your arm. I usually only do my hands.. no real reason. I think I might try a floral pattern like this next time.

Here is the final stain. I don't think it will get darker. I just love being decorated.

Bon- I am almost totally self taught. I would check out The Henna Page http://www.hennapage.com/
It's like Craftster for mehndi. There is a ton of information and the people in the forum are super friendly and helpful. Oh and beware it is addicting  Wink
