Button Tree of Life...now I need more green buttons

Soooo...while cruisin' around craftster and catching up on pages in threads I came across a craftster's avatar, bexieboo, and inspiration struck!

I give you the button tree of life...





It took me 4 hours to arrange and sew on all the buttons to make for as little gap between them as I could.  The trunk/roots are just simple straight stitched applique.  This was hot glued to the frame backing piece when complete.

This was a 98% stash project, too!  Had gotten a box o buttons from Joann's a few days before this project and gleaned a few choice items from it to include.  Even the frame was a recycled one from an item received in a swap; the swap project got re-framed in a more suitable size frame. 

Still trying to find a great place to hang my button tree in my house...somewhere in my craft room is likely where it will end up, that's where it is now leaned up on top of a mini chest of drawers full of....buttons!  LOL!

BunnyTuTu, this is a GREAT project to drum up with 'singles' you end up with after making something.  Or, if you end up just getting a TON of buttons in a swap or something from the thrift store

I KNOW I want to make another one of these...maybe a HUGE heart like the one from bexie's avatar!  Like 12x12 inch or something...better start collecting more buttons!  LOL!

I'm sitting down right now to start sorting my buttons into colors...I can feel another random button project coming on strong!

Ya just never know when inspiration will strike!!  I love this project and I especially love the colour choices of the buttons you used
