And, once again, it is not a requirement for feedback to post pics. I can't believe so many organizers and participants don't understand that. You send the required items, your partner receives, you get positive feedback.

Don't be so quick to 'blame' the participants for the misunderstanding Smiley If I see something like "positive feedback will be given after your partner receives AND pictures are posted"  then I understand that I won't (supposedly) get feedback until I post pictures, or in some cases, until my partner posts pictures. Even though the Craftster Swap rules don't agree with that added requirement.

If the organizer can add rules/requirements to swaps beyond the Craftster 'basics' I think this is going to keep happening. (OTOH, I skimmed through the swaps open for signups today and there weren't many that had "post pics for feedback" type requirement)

If the Swap Info Guide could be updated to clarify this, I think it would help.

In the swap rules, it does specifically state:

When a participant's package is received, as long as that package meets the swap requirements, they get Positive Feedback.

There is no reference to anyone posting photos. However, we will be going through some of the FAQs and trying to make things even more clear.  Smiley

I do blame organizers when they don't read the rules clearly enough lol! Maybe the swappers are confused because so many organizers are! Grin

That is AWESOME, Racky!  When you make this explicit, it leaves no room for individual interpretation.  Thank you!

Have the Moderators ever considered hosting a live recorded organizer training session that could be accessed in the future as a playback?  It could then be mandatory for anyone who wanted to be an organizer to listen to the replay so they know what their responsibilities are, and should eliminate some of the 'these are my own rules' issues.

I <3 this idea!!!

Could the swap starter have a question like this?:
Do you have access to a camera/scanner or other method for posting pictures in the gallery? (Yes/No, will my partners pretty please takes photos before you send?)

On another note:
The one time I was upset that a partner did not post photos was in a multiple-partner swap and they didn't post photos for anyone AND they never commented in the gallery.  They made maybe two posts in the swap.  They sent basically the same thing to each person without thinking about their personal likes/dislikes.  They still had "awesome swapper" on their feedback.  I asked the organizer about it, but, technically, they did fulfill their requirements.  I just made a note to myself that if they're in a swap I'm in to send a PM to the organizer requesting not to be paired with them.  It was an upsetting experience for me.

Otherwise, my partners have been great.  If they can't get photos up, they'll ask me to and then comment on it in the gallery.  That's cool with me.

I've been seeing this on more swaps recently - I don't know if that means it's in the swap starter or the orgs are just adding the same question Smiley But not every swap has the questionnaire going to your partners - I know the ongoing swaps I've been in, I don't see my partner's questionnaires so I wouldn't know to take/post pics for my partner unless they tell me when I ask for their address.

Your best bet is to always take your own pictures of what you send out for swaps. Don't you want them for your records, anyway? If your partner can't take good photos, or can't take photos of all, or (God forbid!) flakes entirely, you'll still have photos to post.  Smiley
