I'm a noob to crafster.  I stumbled upon it a little over a month ago and found the contest to crochet a cozy.  I'm thinking about redecorating my kitchen with owls, so I crocheted a cozy for my very old toaster.  I completely improvised on the design.  No pattern.  I was inspired by the vinyl sticker at amazon:  http://www.amazon.com/Cute-Owl-Branch-Vinyl-Decal/dp/B004B49AUM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307400169&sr=8-1  and I modified the leaf pattern available here:  http://www.thefabledneedle.com/index.php?main_page=freebies

I haven't posted 10 times in the forum, so I'm not allowed to post pictures yet  Huh  Here are links...

It was fun, and I can't wait to see what everyone else created!   Grin

So cute!

It would have been hard to find a cover for such a long skinny toaster!

I love the varigated yarn you used in your owl...

awww it's so cute! Well done! I've been looking for a pattern for a knitted toaster cozy without any luck but I'm totally inspired now. I'll have to just go for it after seeing how lovely it could be!

I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.
