I'm super impressed by the Westley and Buttercup dolls. (I'm just learning to crochet and it's taking some getting used to.) Nice work!

Me too!!!!  It's definitely a bit more confusing than knitting was to learn, at least for me.  Maybe it depends on what you learn first, I don't know if you just get used to one and then the next one is harder?  I am enjoying the process though when I do feel like I am getting it right and not ripping things apart over and over, lol  Smiley

I'll bet that it's true that whatever you learn first is easier, but just wait until you learn the stitches. Crocheting is a lot faster and easier once you get the hang of it. It's also less ungainly than holding the two needles up all the time.

Everyone is doing a great job! I'll try to update everything this weekend.

My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare
I had to cram so many things to store everything in there
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people
And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people
I never thought I'd need so many people

Love the creative packaging!  Wink  I always forget that as one of the mediums of being crafty.
I can crochet, but not cute little dolls like that!  Very nice!
The mask! I've made a few of those for friends and they all are so funny when they eyes are looking at you!
Very cool!

Now you can have "eyes like the sea after a storm" while you sleep!  Grin I love it!

so funny you mention that!  Sam put little tags in explaining everything and the one to go with the mask said it had eyes like the sea after a storm.  it's also backed in a shimmery orange/red fabric to remind me of the fire swamp.

the dolls are impressive...they're so big!  I'm okay at crochet but I never make big dolls, just the little chubby amis.  this could be because while I can do all my stitches, etc I'm extremely slow at crocheting and it would probably take me a year or so to finish a big doll (well, probably a couple days, but ykwim)

I sort of agree with the first one you learn thing, as I can crochet but knitting is beyond me and takes forever to do tiny bits...though I did try knitting first it was when I was very young so don't think that really counts for me as it was too hard for me (o=  whereas crochet just seemed to make sense in my brain...they are my first ever human dolls, never done that before, normally creatures so think they came out pretty neat especially as first ever human ones...
ha! the mask is a bit on the creepy side (o= all in the illusion of the dread pirate roberts...lol
