My grandmother bought me this handmade doll when I was really little and I always loved her (her name is Felicia). Well, then I grew up, went to college, got married: aka, I forgot all about her. But last year when my grandmother died, I was rummaging through the house and I found my doll! Well, I was in a really crafty mood and had a lot of left over fabric and decided to make her a few dresses. And what's funny is that with the fabric I had, I could make dresses from my favorite movies! I made the patterns for all of them myself and just used trial and error until they came out how I wanted.

So the first three are from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, my all time favorite movie.

Belle's Blue dress

Belle's Green Library Dress

Belle's Christmas dress from Enchanted Christmas

This is Christine's pink dress from The Phantom of the Opera. I LOVE how the back turned out!

Any comments and critiques are welcomed!

Have you seen Toy Story 2? It's silly but it breaks my heart every time. Your doll is probably having a BLAST with her fashion show!

Anyhow, her dresses are awesome! I really like how the back of the pink one came out too. Great job Smiley

First of all, how great that your grandma kept your doll for you all those years!  She is beautiful!

I always loved to dress dolls in costumes because it would cost way too much to make one for myself and kinda silly, too!  Cheesy

Your dresses are lovely and will remind you of some of your favorite things...just think of all the cute costumes that you can make for a very long time!!

Good job!  I love the pink one--the back is absolutely lovely!!

I haven't seen Toy Story 2, but I have seen the first Toy Story several times. Now I'm going to be paranoid, thinking everytime I'm not looking at her that she's going to be dancing, lol!

My grandmother actually raised me since I was two until I moved out and even now in my heart she's my "mom." So I am really happy that she kept this doll for me because it's so special to me.

And I make a ton of costumes for me for not reason other then I like to, lol. Well, actually, I guess I should say that I START a lot of costumes for me. I've actually only finished one. I don't know why, but I want to have a chest full of costumes, lol.

Thank you everyone for your comment! I can't wait to make some other ones for her.
