Hello... Smiley This is my first topic! I've been crocheting for a couple of months now but didn't really think anything was worth posting. I've made a bunch of hats for my friends and family and a few amigurumi. Here's a scarf I made today. It's pretty simple and I just made it up while I was crocheting. It's super soft and cozy. Smiley I'm also starting to spin & dye yarn... The merino wool was dyed while it was roving and then I spun it. I always wondered, though, if there's a difference between dying the roving vs. dying the yarn after it's been spun?

This is super, I love those colors. The wooden buttons are a perfect choice, too Cheesy

As for dyeing, if you dye the roving before it's spun you get a different color pattern than when you dye the yarn later. Worth experimenting with for sure Smiley

LOVE LOVE LOVE your scarf!

Ive done both dyed roving and spun up wool....like dyeing the wool in roving form. I find you get more versitiliy in color since your going to be stretching it out while drafting/spinning.  Ive had the bad experience too of spending a whole bunch of hours spinning undyed wool than dyed it and hated the color (which sucked after all that work)

Love your use of buttons, they are adorable and your color-lot is very nice too
