I am trying to make this sweater

http://www.naturallycaron.com/projects/kingston/kingston_1.html

I can't seem to figure out the stitch they are calling the slanted puff stitch.  I can't find instructions for the stitch online either.  Whenever I try to follow the instructions I seem to be loosing a stitch each row.  If anyone could better explain teh stitch to me I would really appreciate it.  I typically stick to single, double, and triple crochet and don't venture into this 'fancy' stuff!

not sure if this will helpyou, but it always helps me... i take that line of stitching and practice it stitch by stitch using the tutorials and stitch guides in the following places... youtube.com, http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/stitches.php  and  http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/content.html?type_id=S

Normally that is what I would do, but I can't find tutorials or instructions on this stitch.

Now don't kick yourself...it's right under the section labeled "Special Terms" at the beginning of the pattern:

Sl-Puff: Slanted PuffYarn over, insert hook around post of last hdc (or last hdc "leg" of Sl-Puff) just made, yarn over and draw up a loop; yarn over, insert hook around post of same hdc, yarn over and draw up a loop; yarn over, insert hook in next ch-sp, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through all 7 loops on hook.

Enjoy!  Can't wait to see your finished project!

Yeah, when I follow the pattern instructions I seem to loose a stitch every row, that is why I am hoping to find better instructions.
