I love that tin! Can you name all the things in there for us? I'm not sure I recognise what is in the bottom of the right hand side.

The broom is ADORABLE!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it Cheesy okay so lets see. on the front is a picture of the school, the train sign and a sticker of 'owl postal service'. inside on the right we find Harry, Hagrid, Fawkes, the school in the background, a plastic wand, an owl, a snake and a spider. on the left is a mirror, the philosopher stone, the night bus in the top corner (hard to see), Doby, Tom Riddle's diary, a quidditch hoop, the locket, a broom (tried to make it the firebolt out of willow twig and pieces of my own broom) in the bottom corner was my attempt at a vial of memories. i think that's everything. Oh on the back, not shown is the gryffindor crest and some more spiders.
thanks for looking!!

Well it is easy; you craft and share your project(s).  Craftalongs are just a fab place to meet like-minded craftsters (in this case HP crafters), get inspired, get support, and share your fab crafts & recipes (we do love to oooooooo & ahhhhhhhh).

Wow, I love all of these things so much!!! I just finished and sent my item in the OTHPT Swap, and my partner should be receiving soon, so I can post pictures of it soon...

I have kept up with this thread wholeheartedly over the last few weeks, and I am so excited to be able to participate! I am hoping to knit a Weasley sweater with this awesome purple yarn I have (even though I have no need for one here). I also want to make a stenciled Quidditch player jersey, and a few other things.

*sigh*

I love Harry Potter.

BTW, you are all incredibly talented and amazing people, and I grovel at the feet of your expert craftinesses.

lmao, stuff most crafters have! I rolled a bit of computer paper up on an angle and glue the corner down. Filled the whole tube with hot glue and drew the spirals on the outside with hot glue too. Using boring old pva I then put some tissues and McDonalds napkins on the outside  Cheesy painted the whole wand darrk brown, waited for it to dry then using a thick gluggy light brown I had and a finger painted (smeared it truth me told) again, which gave it an awesome ages look. Painted the goldy spirals with a goldy colour (Yellow Ochre apparantly) when it was dry, then coated it in pva when that was dry  Grin
The tissue paper made a really nice texture and its a lovely weight and feel  Smiley although when I yell "lumos" it doesnt seem to work  Undecided my Mum (a fellow HP nut, she got the snitch earrings lol) has informed me I must have Rons wand  Roll Eyes  Cheesy
Might have to make another one, with step by step pics  Cheesy  Tongue

lol, ok, that and blocking my scarf shall be tomorrows plan. Ill need to get a new glue stick first... unless anyone can come up with an idea to use instead of? I know that yarn would work for the designs on the outside, but what for the inside... hrm  Tongue
