So I'm pretty new to recon'ing shoes and so far I love it. These are the chuck look alikes from payless. Sorry but I'd rather spend 30$ for shoes I might mess up than to pay 130$ for the real ones lol. So I used fabric paint for the tattoo side and glued on plaid fabric for the other side. I left space for any future ideas I might have so that I can keep workin on them. I still want to dye the laces and do something with the toe part. But I'm pretty happy with how they look so far  Grin

And the pics!

Very nice!  I had no idea Payless was carrying these.  I have two pairs of the white Converse xx-hi that I've reconned but haven't had the $ to buy the black.  I might have to check those out.

The best thing about revamping your shoes is that no one else will be wearing them.
These came out really well.

Thanks for all the nice comments! I have since added a bit to them on the fabric parts. changed out the plaid for some lime green zebra and orange leopard lol. I love the comments I get when I wear them because people dont see the zipper in the back so they think I lace them up each time lol. My boyfriend's daughter wants me to do a pair for her for her bday lol. I'm still thinking I might add some "filler" on the tattoo side? like a real tattoo'd sleeve would be like. Anyways, thanks again for the awesome comments =)
