I have a Turbie Twist


that I received several Christmases ago, and I love it! And I only have one. I noticed I have a bunch of towels I don't use


(blue, orange, pink - these were from my dorm years) that are either all blotchy from my face cleanser or don't go with my current bathroom decor sooo.. I tried making one this morning, and it turned out fun, fast, and easy!

Since I already have one, it was a piece of cake. I folded my towel in half, cut out two pieces a liiiittle bigger than the actual Turbie Twist,


then sewed it together. On Skip to my Lou,here, she says to use an elastic... and to be honest, I never use the one on my Turbie, but I think I'm going to cut out some seams and add one to my new blue one because it doesn't seem to hold as tightly.

I'll probably make some more because I have this thing... I don't like the feeling of my wet hair sticking to my back. Yuck. But now I can make as many as I want!! It'd be cute to add a flower or something too next to your ear, hehe.

I too am a tubie twist addict. I have used mine to death....really it's getting shabby. I've had it several years now and use it all the time. Like you can't stand the wet hair on my back and the drippin', not to mention it cuts down of full size towels to launder too.
They have a cheapo microfiber version @ the Dollar Tree but they aren't as absorbant. I shall dig into my old towel stash and wipp me up some too. Thanks for the idea. So simple, and such an AWESOME idea to sew your own!

This is great, I was just looking at mine the other day (it was a gift and sadly it's starting to fall apart, but I love it so) to figure out how to make it. Thanks for your tut and the link! I think I'm going to go through some of the towels we keep but don't use! Thanks!
