For the bath and body swap, I made ariaya some bath bombs and solid sugar scrub crumbles, getting to use my new deep blue mica from Brambleberry on both! Smiley The pink hearts were colored with melt and pour color, and molded in a cheap ice cube tray I got in the Target dollar section. On the bath bombs, the sprinkles are bath salt that I dyed using melt and pour color. :3 The bath bombs are scented with black cherry, the sugar scrub is Citrus and Sage.

Then, my little sister called me and asked for a lavender soap. I really hate the smell of lavender, but my sister gave me a beautiful nephew, so how could I refuse? I used WSP's Lavender Basil, which isn't too terrible. I still don't personally care for it, but it smells better to me than most lavender scents. I used a basic recipe and didn't color the soap, but thinking of how pretty those bath bombs came out, I decided to use colored bath salts to make the soap pop. The salts are colored with both the same melt and pour color, and then the blue mica, which I mixed about 1/8 of a teaspoon of mica in a capful of olive oil to incorporate with the salt. I was very pleased the colors made it through the gel stage and stayed just as pretty, instead of turning yellow and gray like I was afraid might happen. Yay for successful experimentation!

And just for some color porn, here's a macro shot of the salts just before the soap was insulated in the mold!

RAAAARAH!

I actually used MareMare's "No Fail Bath Bombs". You can find the recipe listed in the tutorials sticky at the top of the subforum. Smiley
