I bought my DH the Box set with Extra's and Hollywood Bowl a few years ago for Christmas and I love the Hollywood Bowl movie. My favorite is the Bruces...

I've seen the Hollywood Bowl movie, but I don't own it. What I do have though is the album (vinyl, kids!) of Monty Python Live at Drury Lane, which must have been from the same tour as it's mostly the same material. Great stuff. I must have memorized it by the time I was fifteen.

I love the Hollywood bowl! One of my faves from that one is the Penultimate Supper: "The fat one balances the two skinny ones!"
I really need to get my hands on the old albums. Too bad record players have gone out of style... I love how they even recorded one of their albums with different tracks on 2 separate grooves (without telling people) just to mess with them!

You can still buy record players - some companies still make them and they are not terribly expensive - I guess for audiophiles who like vinyl, and for people who like to scratch records and do hands on mixing.  I have seen them advertised in The Source and Radio Shack flyers.

I watched "Eric Idle exploits Monty Python" yesterday. It was not a fun experience. I've followed it up with the first 10 episodes of flying circus, and I'm making a list of my favorites. Am I the only one who loves Arthur Pewty?

Now for something completely different:

Wenn ist das Nunstruck git und Slotermeyer? Ja! Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!

My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare
I had to cram so many things to store everything in there
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people
And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people
I never thought I'd need so many people

My favorite Hollywood bowl sketch is a tie. I love the Bruces and the two judges.

"You can put it in the hand of your attorney, but it will never stand up in court." heh

I have 2 of the records that I found while back in college, but I still can't find the three sided one, which is the one I want most. I have Live at Drury Lane (I believe) and the Contractual Obligation Record.

Will do personal swaps to receive fabric yardages. Also, if you are looking for costume work, I will work in trade or swap. I have an available Singer Pixie, is anyone interested?
