I was in a really fun competition called Crafting with the Stars. One of our challenges was to do a knock off of a brand name product. Didn't matter what project, just as long as it was a knock off. I chose to make two pieces of crackled decoupage fruit wall art for my kitchen, I was inspired by two much larger pieces from Land of Nod. Theirs was for a child's playroom and in primary colors. I chose more vintage colors using scrapbook paper and smaller pieces. Theirs were 26"x26"! Way bigger than I wanted. I made mine on two pieces of wood measuring 12"x12" each.

This is my version, and there's a full tutorial on my blog here

Here's the Land of Nod inspiration

Hope you like them! I love these and they proudly hang in my kitchen Smiley Thanks for looking Wink

I saw these when I went around on the Crafting with the Stars tour.  You did a great job - I like your version much better than the original.  The crackle, the French lettering, and the patchwork are fantastic!
