I just found this thread and I am from the Oly area. I am totally in on this deal! I might have to bring my 5 month old if that is ok. Otherwise I could get a babysitter. I am so glad that I found this thread before the date was gone.

Hi, DeannaLynn! It should be a-okay to bring your kiddo - I think most of us will be! If you click on the link in my sig, you should be able to see the evite and RSVP.

I'm so excited for this!

Thanks, Dharma. You were the way I found this thread. I was reading about how you only lived 30 mins from Federal way in the sewing swap and had to check it out Smiley

Is anyone going to bring a camera? Since I can't be there this time it would be fun to capture an image of the awesome time you all are going to have. Maybe I could photoshop myself into the picture later...haha!

Oh my gosh, you guys, this is gonna be so fun! I'm contemplating what I'm going to make for the Yankee Swap...

Oh, you're really close to me, Deanna! My package from TheSapphireMoon is in Olympia - I hope the mail lady has it in her truck!

I can bring a camera. It doesn't do great close ups though, so, if your swap item is small you should photograph it before you come.

I'm in North Seattle and would love to attend, but I don't drive. Anyone in Seattle want to carpool with me and my 2 year old?

I'm in the Lynnwood area (nope, don't have big hair and bright frosted blue eyeshadow Grin)  I'm sad to be missing out...can't make it that day.
Maybe something can get going in the North area?  Someday Smiley

I'm excited to see pictures of all your time together!  AND the crafty goodness that results from it Grin

Sorry that there's a couple of you who can't make it! Sad

Deanna -- it is fine to bring your baby. The girl I have lined up for childcare is going to focus on the "bigger" kids. I'll have my 5 month old with me, too.  Smiley

Ooh, how exciting! I've been thinking for a while I need to make more of an effort to meet people and was super excited when I checked this board out and saw get togethers are being organized! Too bad I think I have people coming from Oregon to visit that weekend. But I definately want to participate in the future.

To introduce myself, I work in Woodinville, currently "live with" the BF in Newcastle (don't have my own place thanks to being unemployed for a while) but we aren't ready to live together full time so I go visit family in Port Orchard & Olympia a lot. I'm a new knitter, wish I could crochet but it perplexes me. I also sew, mostly costumes & some quilting. And misc other crafts. And I'm at work now so I suppose I'll get back to that. Bye for now!

Craft till it hurts.

Spazz, if it turns out that you can make it, it shouldn't be much more than an hour drive for you.  I hope you can come after all.  And maybe you could pick up Jenniferpi if so, too!  Tink, I sent you the evite.  I have one friend who's coming and another who's really bummed out she can't make it and wants to come to the next one, so maybe this could be a regular thing.  I have a fun idea for the Yankee swap, but I have to finish up another swap on here first.  This'll be fun!!

I love planning parties - come to me if you need any ideas!
