This quilt is the second quilt I've made for my 6 month old baby, the first, unfortunately, is being retired before it falls apart (i posted about it a few weeks ago here)

its not as complex as the original, but i still love it!  its a zig-zag quilt without using triangles, (tutorial here)  I used fabrics from all over, some moda, heather ross, riley blake (i am so in love with the stars prints!) Micheal miller, Joann's brand...its quilted along either side of the zig-zag seams and bound in aqua blue and green kona.

The back is the Riley Blake All Stars print, and I inset a few leftover blocks from the original quilt.  I do wish I had planned the back a little better and centered the blocks vertically more, but I had to sew on an extra few inches to the bottom because my math was wrong.

all in all, its a super soft snuggly quilt that should last my baby through the toddler years. (I sized it to fit well on a toddler bed.)

on to photos!

(please ignore the gross looking gray splotch on the back..my older boy spilled some graphite powder on it..i hope it will come out in the wash)

That's great!  Love teh zig-zag without triangles - I like trinagels, but they are a bit finicky to get just right.

Great job!

LOVE the zigzags!!  Since I saw the picture of your quilt yesterday, I've been trying to decide what colors to make my own zigzag quilt in.  You've inspired me for sure!
