Sooo...at the rate we are going with people signing up, I think I'm going to need a co-organizer.  Anybodywant to?

This is going to sound super nerdy but I already wrote a program (I'm a software developer) to pair everyone up and make everyone a nice list of address and questionaires of thier partners...so that I won't need to copy and paste all that info a million times.  So all I'll have to do is copy and paste the program's output for each person and PM that out.

So...I guess what I'm getting at is...whoever wants to co-organize won't have to do very much.  I'll just email you all the info and you just have to be there in case I disappear (I'm not planning on that or anything...but you never know expecially since I am going on a road trip into the middle of nowhere in a week  Grin )

I am really exited about this. I was wondering, what types of things are good size to decorate for this if I am not buying post cards. Like should I use note cards or a type of paper or just buy postcards and decorate over them.... I suppose I should look at the gallery to get an idea. Then Ill get started. Grin

The post office requires specific sizes for postcards and other letter type pieces of mail. I think the general size for a postcard is 4"x6". As far as materials, it has to have some thickness to it like cardstock or construction paper, in order to go through their machines at the post office. Some people even cut up paperboard (like cereal boxes) to back their cards. Hope that helps Smiley

I've already made a bunch because I thought I was going to do this kind of swap in a previous round. I can't have these secrets lurking in my desk drawer anymore!

started my first card today, but it's not done yet- i can't figure out the lettering  Huh
i sense this is going to be a problem with all of them...maybe i'll just make the front all pretty and then handwrite a note on the back  Smiley

I think I may end up making too many secrets and have some left over for the next swap!

Can you not print the writing out on the computer and trace over it using a lightbox or by sticking it to a window?
