I'm tempted to use the idea of the bird king, queen, and raven characters to make book dedicated to the story behind them

GREAT idea!!! I would love to see this!

I recieved my pages from thatkid today! Smiley

Some themes I gave was: calm, tranquility, happiness.
She printed off some really nice pictures and gave a little blurb about each one.

Blurbs:
Dolphin One "Dolphins have always been one of my favourite things. I find them to be very peaceful and Inspiring. I had the chance to feed the dolphins in florida, and it was one of the best moments of my life.
Sunset "This is Conrad's Beach on Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore. I took this photo one evening during a walk. There was no one else there, and it was very quiet and peaceful. The ocean was so gentle and calm.
Beach Shore "This is Lawrencetown beach in Nova Scotia. Some of my best childhood memories happened here. I took this photo after spending the day on the beach with my mother. I find it to be a very inspirational place to write poems and stories"

I'm jealous that you live near beaches! Sad
Thanks so much for the pages!

carmenmarie sent me all this local goodness from New Zealand!

postcards, fabric, postage stamps, a calendar of Maori symbols since i'd suggested something Maori-related, and, of course, an art journal page that's beautiful!

the trim/accents are a metallic green and turquoise, which, unbeknown to her, is a combo i'm a little obsessed with right now!  Grin i love the layout and the art and the quote. thank you!
