After 20-odd years of crafting---and I do mean odd--I finally tried my hand at painting, starting with acrylics.  I'm shocked at how well this turned out.  I always assumed that, since I can't draw very well, I'd paint even worse.  Who'da thunk?  This is for a friend but I'm doing another for myself in different colors.

Very, very nice. I particularly like the gradation of the colors. Well done!

This is gorgeous!  I love the way the background sky moves through several colors like the sun is setting/rising!

That turned out beautiful! And by the way, I paint much better than I draw for sure! When I was teaching art, I had one student who just excelled at painting...she was amazing. But she could barely draw the simplest things. Painting is just a different animal, IMO. Shocked)

Your painting is very lovely, your friend will adore it!!

Silhouette painting is something I've done a lot of and it sells very well!!  I can barely draw either  Cheesy
