I saw this ( http://www.designspongeonline.com/2010/02/diy-project-valentine-lightbulb.html ) adorable tutorial on design sponge and just had to try it for my honey this valentine's day!

I had never hollowed out a light bulb before so I was nervous but the tutorial was great and it was very easy!

Instead of using a "light of my life", although very cute, i wanted something a bit more personal to us. So instead i wrote "where the light is" from his favorite john mayer song. he loved it! i even got some misty eyes! score!

That is so neat! I like it, I'd just be afraid of cutting myself on the glass. Good job!

Very creative! Now if you can figure out how to get it to glow, that would be fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

that is such an awesome idea!!! the lil red heart is perfect.
as for making it light up.....my engineer brain could not help working  Smiley
perhaps drill into the wooden base, a diameter slightly smaller than the bulb bottom and stick a tiny LED flashlight in there. That way no worries about electrical connections or cables or any of that... does that make sense?
