I really like the idea of the barrette added in. I made myself a couple of bun covers myself but I have to use hair pins to hold them in place. I also did one without an elastic band and just a tie .. but eh.. same problem.. needs hairpins.
a long time ago when I was re remembering how to crochet LOL I made the tie kind with no clip and I also made one with just elastic then it fell off and I lost it. I know what you mean. The funny thing is I used to work at Meijer in the Produce department about 3 years ago and we had to keep our hair in out hats. This would have been perfect. A bit late LOL.

This is going to be awesome. Thanks for the pattern. I wear my hair in ballerina buns way too much, especially if I'm too lazy to straighten it and it becomes a giant frizz ball.  Angry But this is going to jazz them right up!

all of your things are AMAZING! i've been glued to my desk now watching ALL your posts here instead of doing the stuff i should be doing Grin i just really want to tell you that i love your work and you are a doll for putting all of this on display like this and giving instructions! i'm quite sorry i can't crochet myself, knitting is more my thing and sewing even more so.. Cheesy but i love these and am VERY jealous of your yarn! i want to find those kinds of yarns..

I had a couple "store bought" ones back in the 80's. I had forgotten how much I loved the "no fuss bun" . You stepped up the design from the vintage version with your decorative comb. Awesome idea and thanks for the pattern gonna crochet me some of those!
