For this tutorial you will need some special equipment and moderate makeup knowledge. I’ve tried to make it accessible and I’ll put a list of products used at the end.
I’m not a makeup artist or anything like that, I just like to play with makeup. I have been inspired by a friend’s costume project and wanted to make a flamingo mask tutorial. It’s not meant to look like a flamingo, it’s just an accent inspired by the colors and flamboyance of the bird.

I don’t usually cover my face so thoroughly, but for this look you need a good base for the makeup to stick to.

Outline your hairline, temples and cheekbones with hot pink. You can cover your brows with a gluestick or use your natural brows. Make them dramatic and accent your brow and inner eye. Go dark so you can blend it out in the next few steps.

Here, I used a matte off white along the entire pink outline. Pack it on, then blend out all the harsh lines with a soft fluffy brush.

Bring the hot pink up under your brow and wing it out into your temples. Pack or foil a super shimmery white all over your lid and up your brow bone. Blend out the harsh lines.

Using the off white (or if you have pure white, go ahead) and whiten up all around your eyes and under them. Think raccoon with the white. Highlight your cheeks with it too. Then I used iridescent white for highlights along my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and across my forehead.

Brighten up the inner corner of your eye with the iridescent white.

In this picture one eye is done and the other is the first step… Line your top lid as close to your lashline as possible. Line your lower lid halfway in. Step two: heavily line your upper lid, making it thicker on the outer V of your eye. Line the waterline all the way in.

Sorry for the stupid expression. Here I used some makeup paint in colors I mixed myself. Light orange or peach, light pink and hot pink. Just feather out stripes with a thin paintbrush.

Darken the black with some black shadow and use a black liquid liner to make more feathers.

Both eyes done. I used 2 heavy coats of mascara. If you’ve got falsies go ahead and put them on!

Accessorize and rock it! I glued the rhinestones on with eyelash glue.
