I love collecting unique, handcrafted pincushions and thought this would be a great idea for a swap.

I would set a limit to 20 swappers, US only....since this is my first time organizing.

I would create 4 groups of 5.

Each person would create 4 (or 5 if they wanted one of theirs for themselves) pincushions and mail out one to each member of their group.

Let me know what you think!

I've been in several of the pincushion swaps before.  We usually had one partner to craft a pincushion for. Here are links to some of the previous pincushion galleries:

I doubt if people would be interested in this if they had to make multiple pin cushions. Perhaps you should consider changing the title of this thread to pin cushion swap rd 12.  I think it would generate more interest.

Pamelabd, ar you still thinking of making this a multi-partner swap like the Dotee swap; where we would send to 3 or 4 people?  I would prefer just one partner.  Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

You could always have an option where people could say if they wanted one partner or more. Then you could pair up the one-partner kids and figure out the best way to make groups out of the rest of us. That way everyone wins.

(and yes, I'm interested)

I'd be interested in one partner. I've been collecting bottle caps for pincushions, they are so fun!

We haven't had a pincushion swap in a while.  I still think it should be one partner.  After all, why would we want to receive 3-4-5 pincushions all at once.  I'd rather wait for future swaps to make and receive more pincushions.

I have pincushions all over the place. I use two when I sew- one at my pinning station, one at my machine. I keep one on my computer desk for small projects. One is in the living room for sewing while watching TV. One in my project bag for sewing on the go. And two on my craft desk. One wrist one and one for everything else. Not to mention the vintage pincushions on the shelf.

So... this is definitely the swap for me. Smiley

Maybe this summer? June or so? It seems like there are a LOT of swaps coming out in April/May.  Just my two cents. Smiley
