Some years ago, this pattern became a great success and everybody was knitting their capelets. I was so sad, because I had no clue how to knit a stitch  Tongue

I finally learnt how to knit, and it was only logical that I came back to this pattern and made myself one  Wink I made it with two yarn balls a good friend gave to me a year ago, a merino/acrylic blend. I knitted it on 7mm needles

one of my cats helped me wind up the yarn

getting into shape!

new use for cable ties, lol

and a couple of action pictures Grin I decided to close it in the lower part instead of the neck, I'm waiting for a brooch from etsy to put there. it feels so warm!

I really like your version Smiley.  I also remember when that pattern came out.  I couldn't knit then either.  I definetly want to make this.  The best thing is that it's a classic design so you can make/wear it anytime.  Enjoy!

P.S.  Your cat is cute!

Love it! And I like the closure at the bottom instead of the top. Excellent colors and looks fabulous on! Wear it with pride!
