sock monkeys are super easy to make! I just made my first one out of a baby sock, hand  stiched it all  too.  Took me maybe 2 hours?  so you don't neccesarily need a sewing machine for it!

might join.... could use  a sock monkey for the oldest boy... He likes getting thngs in the mail.......

If you look at the Step by Step tutorial that I linked too. It is really easy to follow, I use it to make mine. Sock money can be sewing by hand too if you don't have a sewing machine. I think a sock monkey would make a great beginners project.

I would love to join this swap as I have only recently made my first sock monkey and now I'm addicted. I could NOT get over how easy it was, I don't know what took me so long to try it out. I was amazed too to see them for sale on one website for NINETY dollars  Shocked can you even believe that?

So I have a proposal to make so that those shy about making one themselves can also join in. How about if I (and others who wanted to) offer to make monkeys or critters and/or send supplies to make one with detailed instructions on how to do it and in return we get something sock monkey related, monkey related, crafting supplies for monkeys, whatever? If not I'm still probably in. I can't resist the monkeys, I just don't even try anymore  Grin.
