I have been wanting to start baking cakes or cupcakes and that sort of yummy goodness, but decorating i have no idea about.  can anyone give me some insight about how to teach myself how to decorate these morsels where they will look more professional and not just spreading icing on them?  i dont really have time to take a class.  any tidbits of info would be greatly appreciated.  thank u craftsters  Wink

Get yourself some pipping tips.  You know, the metal or sometimes plastic things that come with pastry bags?  Get one of those while your at it.  And then fill up the bag with some frosting, and just go at it.  I'd check foodnetwork.com and check out their decorating tips.  I think they have some good ones.
