Ok, I'll go back and try to figure out a size for my partners to substitute for the sizes given in my block tutorial.  Mine was 15.5" finished, so I'll just scale mine down a bit so as not to overwhelm anyone.  Smiley

Thanks hon! I was gonna pm you but I got called into work and it's been a bad night, nothing's going my way it seems. You could still do the 4 in one thing you mentioned if you get the final block to be 12 1/2 inches! More variety and pretty colors Wink

Why do all the swaps I want to do all end at the same time?  I'd quite like to do this, but I'm already in one swap that ends the same week, and promised to sign up for another once sign-ups begin.    Embarrassed

Since I had picked such a very simple pattern that I thought would be easy on my partners, I hadn't really thought about the overall size.  I'll try to think on that today because I want to maintain the same circle to square ratio in the pattern, and if I simply size up or down mathematically, I could end up with really strange numbers like a 4 11/16" circle.  And that would be just silly.  Shocked  Tongue  Cheesy

I really want to join this swap but I have to get feedback on two of my other swaps first!

I'm just getting into quilting and I have a couple of people I want to make lap guilts for Christmas so this would be awesome!!

Hope being a newbie to quilting isnt an issue.

Yeah I was trying to figure out different sizes last night at work, but my brain was too fried.

Ha! I just looked at the tutorial for mine (paintbox) and the finished size is only 6 inches! But, just doubling the size of the strips in the tutorial should produce a finished block of 12 inches, right? I'll just have to make up a trial block to find out.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

I would like to do this, but don't want to end up overcommiting myself. So, I'm gonna keep an eye on it and think on it for a few days. Smiley

Pearliepie, if that block finishes out at 6" (meaning 6.5" unfinished), you can ask your partners to make 4 of them and sew them together ... it should produce a 12.5" unfinished / 12" finished block!

You and MareMare just blew my mind.

Seriously.
