kitty hat. it was my first non-scarf knitting project, i'm a pretty new knitter and i was so excited that it came out looking like the picture. i thought it turned out cute so i made my little sister model it.. here it is. the patterns kinda big i think, or maybe my yarn was just fat.. i used that super soft jiffy, mohair type yarn... i love it, but yah.. i'm so attached to it, i wore it to the dmv when i went to renew my liscence but they made me take it off for my picture *poo* oh well

I've finally gotten round to capturing my kitty hat on film - here ya go:

I used Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted - it took less than a full skein and at $6.50/skein it couldn't be cheaper!  I adjusted my needle size a bit - I used 8 circulars instead of 7s.  And I used my Denise Needles - woo hoo!  This was a super-fun project and I'm pleased with how it turned out.  Now i just have to wait a very very VERY long time before I can wear it (I live inHouston).

Those are so cute! Love them love them love them.

I tried to make a kitty hat but with bear ears instead, partly because my school's mascot is the Golden Bear and partly because I had some brown yarn lying around that I didn't know what to do with. Anyway so I knit up the hat and everything was fine, but when I put on the ears they just looked awful - it ended up looking less like a bear hat and more like a monkey-run-over-by-a-mack-truck hat. So I took the ears off, and now it's just a hat with some pompoms. The pic is at http://www.geocities.com/anjanasofia/pompomhat.html.

I think sometime before next winter I'll take another stab at it - maybe the devilish variety this time....

I lost my internet connection two months ago, right after I bought my own copy of SnB... In the meantime, I've made the Ribbed for her pleasure scarf, the kitty hat, the snowball cat bed and two feltet totes. I'll just have to put them out here one by one, I guess...  Undecided
I could just do knit stitches two months ago, and now I'm really starting to find my way out of the knitting mysteries.
First out - the kitty hat

hmm...is there something wrong with the picture..? I've always used angelfire before, it's where I have my website  Huh
Anyway, the link to the picture is http://www.angelfire.com/ms/Norway/images/kitty.jpg
Edit: hmm...I'm not sure if that's working either - does anyone know a good image hoster?

Oh - and the new craftster design is great! I just have to get to know it - so much to explore!!
Missed you!!!  Tongue
