Oohh, and you could do this a couple of times, folding less, to make a little detail at the bottom.

That's a great idea!  I might do that on some of my own jeans

Any suggestion on tools that can help push neddle through jeans? My fingers hurts as I tried to push the neddle through.
Also, did you stitch the top fold? In my case, since I need to shorten a lot, the top fold won't stay up. It keeps falling off.
